Paris

My girlfriends and I recently went to Paris to celebrate finishing our degrees. We ordered the trip on a bit of a whim one late night in the library when it seemed to be no end in sight with our exams. And what better place to re-charge your batteries than the city of looove? It's not reserved for couples only, and love it we did.

We stayed in District 9, close to Sacré-Cœur, an area full of bars and restaurants. One night we stumbled across a hidden gem, L’Homme Tranquille, not far from our hotel. It was one of the best and most unexpected finds of our trip. Wooden interior and an authentic feel intrigued us to go inside. The tiny restaurant holds a few tables only, and the food is divine. I had seabass ceviche to start, and rump steak for dinner.

Strange combo, but it worked!

It was that delicious.

Yana being cute at L’Homme Tranquille.

yam'Tcha

After watching Netflix Chef’s Table episode on Adeline Grattard and how yam’Tcha came to live, it was at the top of my to-do list in Paris. Luckily, it wasn't hard to convince my friends to come here. We ordered all the different bao buns and tea from the boutique, and what’s more, Chi Wah Chan walked in and greeted us! Such a pleasant surprise!

I could not have asked for a better trip. Great food, great company, and most our time was spent basking in sunshine. If you're in Paris, I’d recommend testing the Lime Scooters which you'll find scattered across town. They offer such a nice (and green) way to explore famous sights. Pack some food and wine and stop by the Eiffel Tower for a picnic for that truly French feel.

Au Revoir, Paris!

We'll meet again.
